A bad, bad trip


I'm posting this in honor of Illustration Friday's topic 'Clumsy'. The dollar does seem be tripping us up lately, with unemployment rates highest in 17 years in NYC and the recession not seeming to ebb fast enough.
On a high note, though, the power of texting as charity is mind-blowing, as the Red Cross can attest with donations texted for aid in Haiti. In this, our dollars are proving to be quite mighty.

Honoring Martin Luther King



Today we honor a man who stood for civil rights and peace, who at the age of 35 was the youngest to receive a Nobel Peace Prize at the time. Our country is getting there, realizing his dream of equality and peace for all, but sadly at the immeasurable cost of lives, such his own- assassinated just over 40 years ago at the age of 39.
