Grace Hopper, author of computer code
Today Google's search page opens with an homage to Grace Hopper, who invented COBAL as a way to 'talk' to computers. Code, in other words. She was a remarkable woman, and one that I had the honor of illustrating a book about back in the day.

Rest in peace Nelson Mandela
A man of peace, patience, integrity is gone physically but will live on from the impact he made with his actions and beliefs. 27 years in prison and he emerged with no malice, no anger..a quote I heard earlier 'may he rest in peace, the peace that he helped to create'.
