NYT article by Charlie Savage re: plea deals in Gtmo

A sketch I'd done of Omar Khadr in 2010 is used in Charlie Savage's article about plea deals in Guantanamo. Compelling read: NYT article HERE

Court sketching commission in Brooklyn Court

I was referred to this job by fellow court artist Jane Rosenberg (thanks Jane!). Lawyer Arthur Aidala and his associates wanted a sketch of a current trial showing five defendants and their lawyers during defense testimony. It took a little finessing, but I was able to compose the drawing so that it was a fairly accurate and true scene. The only visual editing I did was to move the prosecutor to the foreground to incorporate all the people in the sketch.
